By this time you want to quit. If you are challenging yourself, 7 days feels like a life time. It is like Tuesday at work, you swear it is Friday, how could a week last this long. The trouble comes when we get so focused on our goals that we miss the life that is around us. We want to see dramatic change and the simple truth is, unless we do something radical, it will still take some time. So, stay focused, but pay attention to what is going on around you. Don’t become an asshole who is only concerned with what they got going on. No, embrace the lives around you. Encourage others. Take your focus off of how hard your goals feel and celebrate the small stuff with those around you.
Seven days focused on anything is in modern times an accomplishment. Celebrate it. Don’t steer from your diet, or do something else that gets you off track, just take the time to relish in it. Then do it again at day ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, and party at thirty! Life is short, being hard-charging makes goal achieving in the long run unsustainable, if you can’t relax and enjoy the small things. So, take a moment and love life. I don’t care if you are in the gutter right now, breath, smile, let go. The prize you are after is only a matter of time.
