Day 6: The Work Doesn’t End

I work up this morning, and said to myself just 24 more days. I took on a physical challenge, limited calorie diet, light kettlebell swings for five minutes while my coffee brews, and an hour long full body workout in the PM. My mind looks to the end, but it doesn’t realize it doesn’t really stop there. At the end of this I will just go into a three day split. I will continue to write blog posts, Monday, Wednesday, Friday. I will work on books, art, and probably start to jog one a week. It is not a lot in the time scheme of things. The time will either be spent doing something I want or wasted.

That is the thing though, we don’t consider the bigger picture when we set certain goals. We don’t take into account the fact that we are alive when it is done. Win, lose, or draw we are the ones who have to live the consequences of what we do with our time. It is a beautiful thing. As long as you are alive, you will always want more life. So, challenge yourself, look to the future and think about what you want to be able to do. Enjoy this moment, be content to do the work you put your hands to do; then grab more. Life is simple that way.

It has either been 6 days of the same old thing, or 6 days of challenging yourself. No one will create the life you want to live for you. At best you will live the life they want you to live. If you want knew and fun adventures, you have to be the protagonist- make shit happen.
“if it is to be, it is up to me.”
As long as you’re alive you will either wish you did, could, or regretted you didn’t. It is never too late to start moving towards a life you love. Time flows in one direction, what we do now has an impact. Smile because everyday you have a chance to make your future life better.
