Don’t Make Your Life Harder

There are goals most of us have set for the new year. Most of those goals are so radical that we can only live that way for a week. For many reasons it doesn’t fit our lifestyle, personality, or will power capacity. Slow and Fucking Steady That needs to be the mindset. Slow and steady is in fact fast and impactful. Everything you do can be considered only by time. Time is the ultimate value and yet, it is always moving, you cannot own it, it will pass no matter what you do. The only thing you can best do with it is to invest in it. The only way to invest in time is to take action. You have to do something with it. Energy expended over time is what life is. If you try to speed it up, most of the time you just made that little bit of time more shitty. Because speeding it up is doing more in less time, and it doesn’t always lead to real results.

If you are on a crash course diet, stop. Stretch it out and make it easier. Make eating right a habit, not a goal line. If you want to write a book, take your time and really think about the characters, their lives, the world and what would really happen next. If you wanted to get in shape and hit the gym, start off with the reality of being sore at first. Then make it a point to workout enough so you are not sore anymore. If you want to quit your job, save money. Have a back up plan and be ready to learn. Take your time and work at a place you actually want to see succeed and to be a part of that success.

Most of the time we create goals that make our lives harder. You don’t have to. We are 11 days in the new year. It is going to be a long one and if you spend your time right it will be worth it. Most of the things we truly want take time. So, enjoy the journey.
