You can do things your way. They may be wrong, but you can. You can fuck everything up. Most people will only tell you after you fucked up how you fucked up. Some people will try to help you out before you go, they will give advice, but it is up to you to do shit right. It is up to you, not to be stubborn about how a thing is done. That is why most people fuck up. They have a weird pride that refuses to submit to others. A that pride that doesn’t let them listen, they insist on doing shit their way. They don’t respect what other people know.
But that’s not you. Naw, you may be on the opposite side of shit. You can’t do shit unless you know everything. And even then you want someone to tell you what to do. You are not confident enough to get it right. You just want to be sure. This becomes a cycle. The cycle itself is wanting to do something, but not doing it. You don’t get going because you will never know enough. And you will only never know enough because you will never be confident enough to start. Learning replaces doing. Learning becomes the excuse for not taking action.
We all know when to listen to advice, when to learn more, and when something is out of our realm of ability. What we don’t know is how far we can expand that realm. We don’t know what we are capable of until we take action. We don’t know what we can do until we do it. If someone has gone before us, it makes the journey no lesser if we use their experience as a guide.
