There are billions of people whose major goal is to make it through the day. The problem is they will wake up and do it again the next day.
The above statement doesn’t matter what income a person has. Rich people, poor people, just in between people, wake up and drudge on through the day. Take care of this, get that done, dream about what they would rather be doing or just trying to handle the little wildfire that is called their daily work as someone adds more wood to the day.
We must accept two things. The first is challenges, problems, or whatever is F*cking up your life right now is life. The second is all big things are made up of little things.
In reverse, all big things are little things. The details of getting shit done are how big things are accomplished. A bodybuilder gains muscle one rep at a time. A house gets built one step at a time (kinda). A business gets built one process at a time and then multiple little processes over time. To achieve the biggest things in life you have to get down to the little actionable things.
The goals you set are you deciding what kind of problems you want to have. If you choose to cut negative people out of your life you will not have relationship problems that bring you down. If you choose to try to survive the day you will miss the opportunity to grow and get better at a bigger goal today. Humans feel alive and excited when we accomplish something that has meaning to us. The problem most of us face is we get paid to solve other people’s problems and we have no interest in the outcome.
Put it all together and micro changes are what we need to have in order to take control of our destiny. To set sail to our treasure island.
Changing our attitudes, actions, reactions, and setting realistic goals will move us from the daily grind to the hustle and grind. We move from where we are to where we want to be. The grind, the hard part, the endurance is still there. When the fun ends, all you have is yourself to push you. So, give yourself a pep-talk about how badass you are and how you love working on your dreams.
