Nothing to Add

Contentment is hard to come by. It is a moment of awareness that says “This is life, life is good, there is nothing more to add.”

There is something about life and our expectations that clash. It is knowing what could be and dealing with what is. The hard part is when you have struggled to make your dreams a reality, do you know when to stop adding. Do you know when to enjoy what you had worked so hard to get? Do you know when to put the paint brush down and say “this is it.”  It is hard to be flexible with your goals, to get to the point where you can say, “I thought this was the goal, but I see now what I wanted and I have it. There is nothing more for me to add here.”

It is a fine line stopping to early, when you are 80% of the way done. And knowing you reached the goal, it just doesn’t look the way you thought it would.

Until tommorw
